V60 Pour Over

Filter coffee roasted by various coffee roasters is brewed using a Hario V60 brewer, resulting in a delicate and complex taste profile. The coffee is served in a Hario V60 Glass Server, accompanied by a ceramic cup and saucer. Current Feature: Black Mass

Latte

Literally ‘coffee and milk’. Approximately 20g single shot of espresso with 190ml lightly stretched milk for 220ml. Served in a glass tumbler with about 1cm of dense micro foam head.

Cappuccino

The traditional ‘domed’ milk drink. Approx 20g single shot with 190ml of stretched milk for 200ml total. Served in ceramic, topped with drinking chocolate with a thin layer of micro foam on top.

Flat White

An Australian/New Zealand convention that was purportedly invented for those coffee drinkers who sought after a stronger, less frothy milk drink. Much contention surrounds the historically ‘correct’ flat white, but at Bear Boy we serve: 20g single shot espresso with 190ml steamed milk for 200ml total. Served in ceramic with an extremely thin layer of microfoam on top.

Piccolo

A small latte. 20g single shot of espresso with 70ml lightly stretched milk, for a 90ml total. Served in a small glass tumbler with about 5mm of dense micro-foam head.

Magic

A drink born out of the Melbourne coffee industry. Historically a 30g double ristretto shot with 120ml of ‘flat white’ milk for a 160ml total, served in a competition tulip cup. At Bear Boy, this is just a strong 3/4 full flat white as our cups are the same size as the tulip cup.

Mocha

Essentially a cappuccino with 30ml of chocolate syrup added to the espresso base

Hot Chocolate

We use Mörk hot chocolate blends have been carefully hand crafted by Cacao Artisans of Melbourne. All natural ingredients, gluten free and diabetic friendly. 40ml of chocolate syrup with 180ml of stretched milk. Served in ceramic, topped with drinking chocolate.

This is not a sweet chai. We use Prana Chai’s Original Blend of Sticky Chai. Handcrafted in Melbourne with premium black tea, whole spices and ginger. (Ingredients are: Black Tea, Cinnamon, Pure Honey, Cardamon, Clove, Star Anise, Peppercorn, Ginger Root). Served in ceramic with a dusting of cinnamon on top.

We use Prana Chai’s Original Blend of sticky Chai. Handcrafted in Melbourne with premium black tea, whole spices and ginger. This wet chai is coated with 100% Australian pure honey to bind all the aromatic flavours together. Made with all natural ingredients, without artificial sweeteners, preservatives or additives, we are proud to serve this product. 20g shot of espresso in ceramic with a dusting of cinnamon on top.
